1.  Soda

A classic remedy for oral ulcers is baking soda, because this white powder  has an antiseptic effect. Soda is cheap and easy to use.

ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda (9 g)
  • 1 cup of water (250 ml)

preparation

  • Mix both ingredients well and use them to rinse your mouth three times a day without swallowing the liquid.

Coconut milk

Aphthae can also be cured faster with coconut milk. Coconut milk is made from the pulp of the coconut. It is distinguished by various properties that are very useful in the fight against canker sores.

You can buy coconut milk in stores or make it yourself.

ingredients

  • 1 cup desiccated coconut (90 g)
  • 1 cup of water (250 ml)

preparation

  • First heat water and desiccated coconut and then process this mixture finely in a stand mixer.
  • You can use it to rinse your mouth three times a day.

3. Chamomile tea for canker sores

Chamomile has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties and is therefore very effective against canker sores. The best way to benefit from it is with chamomile tea.

ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of chamomile flowers (15 g)
  • 1 cup of water (250 ml)

preparation

  • Bring the water to a boil, scald the chamomile flowers with it and let it steep for 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Then pour through a sieve and drink the tea.
  • The tea should not be too hot, however  , as this could be uncomfortable on the wound. 

4. Honey for canker sores

Honey has anti-inflammatory properties and is therefore also very effective in treating aphthae, as it can promote wound healing.

5. Salt for canker sores

Salt is one of the best natural remedies for mouth ulcers. It has an antiseptic effect and is not only very effective but also inexpensive.

ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of salt (15 g)
  • 1 cup of water (250 ml)

preparation

  • Dissolve salt in lukewarm water and use it to rinse your mouth three times a day.

6. Coriander juice

Coriander is also highly recommended for curing mouth ulcers as  this plant has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties. This relieves pain and fights infections.

ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon coriander (15 g)
  • 2 cups of water (500 ml)

preparation

  • Process both ingredients well in the blender and rinse your mouth three times a day.

7. Papaya

Papaya for canker sores

This exotic fruit helps against aphthae, gingivitis and candidiasis. It has a detoxifying effect, thanks in particular to the active ingredient papain. 

ingredients

  • 1 piece of a papaya

preparation

  • Mash the pulp well with your fork, then apply the paste to the affected areas.
  • After 15 minutes of action, rinse out your mouth. Try not to touch the wound with your tongue during this time!
